Eligibility for medical coding:

4.CIRCC

1)CPC:(Certified professional coder):

It qualifies that you have full of knowledge and  you are expert in the medical coding profession.CPC requires an examination which questions on your knowledge and skills for physician services and diagnosis reports.

2)CPC-H:(Certified professional Coder-Out patient Hospital):

It qualifies your ability of coding out-patient and hospital service reports and to qualify this exam it questioned you on correct coding for out-patients for the purpose of medical insurances.

3)CPC-P:(Certified Professional Coder-Payer):

It qualifies that you have both basic knowledge of coding and billing.At this examination level it questioned you about the coding and billing.The CPC-P professional handles both the responsibilities of coding and billing of the reports and the medical claims.

4)CIRCC:(Certified interventional Radiology Cardiovascular Coder):

It qualifies that you have ability of interventional Radiology Cardiovascular coding.In this examination level you will questioned about:

• Diagnostic angiography
• Diagnostic cardiac catheterization
• ICD-9-CM
• Anatomy and medical terminology.
• Percutaneous Vascular Interventions

NOTE:-You must have 2 or more years of experience by working as medical biller (or)coder to get CPC-H and CPC-P certificates .These certificates should be renewed every year.


ICD(International classification of disease):- 



The International Statistical Classification of Disease and Related Health Problems(commonly known as ICD)It is published by the (WHO)world Health  Organization.

It will revised priodically and is curently is in it's 101th edition,known as ICD-10.
